His body of work includes live and prerecorded compositions for dance (including several critically acclaimed collaborations with choreographer Rachel Cohen and Racoco Productions), film, and mixed-media installations. Recent chamber music works include his solo classical guitar piece Delta commissioned by guitarist Dan Sumner and the Bloomington Classical Guitar Society. As a laptop artist, Becker performs in a variety of composed and improvisatory contexts often collaborating with film makers, poets, and dancers. Becker has received grants and awards from The Louisiana Division of the Arts, Meet The Composer, the American Music Center and The American Society of Composers and Publishers (ASCAP). His music has been featured on WNYC's New Sounds (hosted by John Schaffer) and Overnight Music (hosted by Helga Davis), WWNO and WWOZ in New Orleans, and on KCSC's The Composer Next Door (hosted by Rob Deemer).
